Braille, Wifi, and the World Wide Web: Three groundbreaking connections made by three of history’s greatest minds. These inventions brought clarity from existing complexity, simplifying communication and improving interaction.
Animated Poster
Process: Moiré Effect
Moiré is produced when an opaque ruled pattern with transparent gaps is overlaid on another similar pattern. Looking for ways to use this effect to my advantage, I experimented with varying size, position, rotation, reflection, using different types of patterns including line, dot, spiral, and other irregular shapes. I believe the effect is most useful as a way to reveal and hide information.
Process: Line Manipulation
Explored ideas of grids, entanglement, complexity, visual disruption, dimension, 3D form, stroke/fill. Achieved order through manipulating lines to reveal typography.
